Leisurely Xiamen

Travel from old Xiamen to new by coach and visit Bailuzhou Park. The park is situated
on an island in the city’s Yundang Lake, and is known as the “green lung” of the city
due to its vast green areas. Take a short walk with your guide to the symbol of Xiamen,
the Egret Goddess statue, and then enjoy some time at leisure to enjoy the relaxing
atmosphere of the park.

Continue your tour with a drive through the old quarter of the city where 18th century
architecture blends with traditional Cantonese style buildings, giving the area a distinct
flavour.

Sit back and relax as your coach travels the coastal road and catch glimpses of
beautiful beaches and the nearby islands of Gulangyu and Jinmen. A photo stop will
be made for you to capture the impressive vistas on camera.

Immerse yourself in the daily lives of the locals on the most popular shopping street in
Xiamen – Zhongshan Road. This busy pedestrianised shopping area is lined with a
kaleidoscope of architectural styles and a plethora of stores selling local souvenirs,
clothing books, and local art. Enjoy some free time here before returning to the ship.
